Our Story

We are a real estate-oriented mortgage company servicing the needs of both traditional and non-traditional consumers and businesses.  Our primary target markets are licensed and permitted cannabis companies, owners of real estate who lease to cannabis companies, and companies and individual homeowners seeking a variety of real estate-related first and additional mortgage-based financing and project-specific financings, such as solar installations and real estate development projects.

We were initially incorporated in Delaware on October 29, 2021, as Lightsmac, Inc. and subsequently changed its name to REZYFi, Inc. on May 4, 2022.  We operate business via our subsidiaries  Lightspeed Mortgage, Inc., dba REZYFi Lending which primarily addresses emerging real estate-related financing opportunities, and ResMac, Inc., our traditional mortgage origination, correspondent, and servicing operation.  We are licensed in 36 states and headquartered in Miami, Florida.

Experience in the Cannabis Sector
Our management team has extensive experience in the cannabis and hemp marketplaces, which we believe allow us to understand the changing landscape of the cannabis industry and source the best opportunities in the sector. Our Chief Executive Officer, John Vu, brings years of experience as a CEO and corporate attorney to multiple cannabis cultivators, manufacturers, and retailers, in addition to more than a decade in the non-cannabis mortgage and commercial banking sectors. Our Chief Financial Officer, JJ Zhang, is an investor in the development of cannabis business parks, owns a law firm and a portfolio of hotels.
Experience in the Mortgage, Real Estate, & Finance Industries
As is outlined in our executive profiles, our team holds significant experience in a wide range of real estate and financing sub-sectors. We believe this diverse set of managerial expertise will allow us to tailor financing packages to meet the unique needs of cannabis businesses and other business owners.
Ability to Scale Quickly
Our team, which has been developed over the past five years to address what was a very fast-growing residential mortgage origination opportunity, remains in place and has been revamped to address a new set of loan and financing needs for both the cannabis-related sector and the emerging market for alternative loans related to the residential marketplace. Our management team has designed a series of new loan programs already being rolled out into the market.
Network of Independent Brokers & Licensed Loan Officers
Over the past five years, we have developed an extensive network of independent mortgage-related brokers and licensed loan officers. We are currently undergoing the process of training the network members on our new service offerings, with many already launching sales efforts. We believe this intact network is a vital asset of the Company, especially as other companies in the sector reduce internal staffs and are terminating relationships as the traditional mortgage business slows in a rising interest rate environment.
Proprietary Loan Processing & Back Office Technology
The Company has invested heavily in designing, building, and implementing proprietary automated/machine learning technology to shorten loan processing timeframes and reduce inefficiencies and human errors relating to loan processing, underwriting and, servicing. These factors have allowed us to increase efficiencies and to operate our legacy businesses at staffing levels meaningfully below those of our competitors. We plan to capitalize on these systems as we approach the processing and servicing of our new loan programs.
